Handled everyday. Longes at the walk. Whoa. Bathes. Ties. Clips. Contessa is a lovely, friendly and talented two year old Andalusian filly. She has been handled from birth with wonderful ground manners. She has had all those ground training exercises so she ties, clips, bathes and is a good sport about hoof trimming, worming and shots. She is a happy filly and is curious but not a “fraidy-cat” when introduced to new things. She is such a good girl she leads with just a rope around her neck and is socialized with her friend, Caramel, a thirty year old pony. Contessa is sired by Spanish stallion Astuto and her dam is from my foundation mare line. Her grandmother Aerial has produced champions and daughters who had champions. The mare line is Spanish/Portuguese so that Contessa is not eligible for the Spanish studbook but please ask us about that, it’s truly not a big deal. She is a full blooded Spanish/Portuguese Andalusian and we are completing her paperwork for the IALHA, the North American Andalusian registry. Her strong points are her temperament and character and she would make an excellent pleasure horse when old enough for training and riding. We have her full sister with us and she is an animated mare, full of personality and totally smooth to ride. We would assume that Contessa would be just as smooth with an even calmer manner.
